The wide range of activities in the Berchtesgadener Land has something for everyone! The Götschenalm is an ideal starting point for wonderful tours through the mountains of the Berchtesgadener Land, whether for hiking, mountain biking, or cycling. The SalzAlpen Tours have been designated as premium hiking trails. The SalzAlpen Tour around the Götschen starts right at the Götschenalm and reaches its highest point at the summit of the Toten Mann (1,394 m).

Hiking

The world of alpine pastures and mountains invites hiking enthusiasts to embark on extensive hikes of all difficulty levels and discover the Berchtesgadener Land in all its diversity. The extensive network of hiking trails promises to let you explore every nook and cranny of the region around the Watzmann.

 

Guided hikes or themed hikes led by experienced mountain guides are also very popular.

Climbing

For adventurers, the Berchtesgaden region offers rock-solid climbing fun—whether it’s standard mountaineering with easy climbs, recreational climbing, or free climbing, all the way to ice climbing and bouldering—with ropes, hooks, and carabiners—you can scale any mountain here. Of course, there are also introductory programs and trial courses so you don’t have to take your first steps on your own.

Cycling

Amid idyllic lakes and the mountain panorama of the Berchtesgaden region with its wide valleys, cyclists will also find their perfect route. The extensive network of bike paths offers many options, ranging from leisurely recreational cycling and family cycling to competitive cycling.
